Changes to Personal History

Hello Experts and Seniors,

I am in a dilemma and i need your input or recommend a good immigration lawyer for me in BC if possible.

I made changes to my personal history for PNP application. I realized i filled unemployed for a certain period of time in my previous application for Study permit and PGWP.

Now, that i have changed my activity to being employed while i was back home. Do you think this could cause any problem? or be seen as misrepresentation?

Hi I'm in the same situation. I had made a mistake on Schedule A for both me and my husband in the beginning (when I applied for study permit), and carried it forward to my PR application. At the end of the process, I received a letter from CIC asking us to amend Schedule A. I went to a lawyer (here in BC), and was advised to amend the Schedules as requested and write a cover letter explaining the situation. I am currently waiting to hear back from CIC.

Anyone with similar situation. Will CIC ask me why i changed my personal history or why my personal history is different from my previous applications?

Also, my CEC application was returned last year due to the 8,000 CAP being full. Do you think they have records of the returned applications with them even tho it was returned?

[Interesting Question.. They must have your record then since you ll be using the same UIC code in your MyCIC account. They can see your personal history in your previous permit application. Study permit, Off campus work permit and PGWP

Interesting. I wasn't knowledgeable about this situation in the past. I would have included one of my work experience - NOC 1241. I didn't declare it due to the ban on 6 occupations then as they were not useful in anyway. I should see a lawyer at this stage. Thanks for your response.

i dont want to scare u but my friend's room mate got reject because of this.... they will think u fraud ..... he is packing now to leave the country... that is why they warn u to check everything double coz ones u send something to them ,later u can not explain anything if its not matching....

omg! Did CIC ask him to leave the country? or he couldn't backup his experience with reference letter?
Please, let me know. I have my reference letter with me. I've applied for PNP already

You didn't keep copies of your past applications?? If you were truthful, there should not be a problem,

No matter, what is done is done. The one and only option you have is to fill out the details TRUTHFULLY, and if this causes a discrepancy with information you already provided to CIC, include a letter of explanation for the discrepancy.
