Change of status

I just have a questions due to change of status.
I started working in Feb 2013 and did submit my CEC application in Jul 2014.
I currently quit my job to go back to school for further study (I do hold both PGWP and Study permit now). Do I need to inform CIC about the change of status since in the AOR email they mention we should notify them for any status changes? Should I email to Ottawa or Sydney?
Please advise.

employment change is an important change. they do care about it . that is all I know , but you update it or not, won't affect your case, except

some statement in your employment reference letter is not right any more after the change.
