Change address

Hi there - I am submitting my application at the end of next week. I have everything laid out, I am just waiting on mail from my husband.

Now, I just found out that I will be moving on May 1st. I really don't want to put my new address on the application yet, only because its done already. I am moving to a different unit within the apartment building I currently reside in. The landlord will check my mail for a while in my old mailbox after I move.

If I put an email in, will they even mail me? I guess I have to wait until they recieve it and send me something, in order to change my address?

They do typically use email, sometimes snail mail. But it's easy to update your mailing address once it's received in Buffalo, so don't worry about it.

Should I change it once I get AOR, I assume? Or can I wait until it goes to Buffalo? I just dont wanna miss something like my approval if they send it by mail...

If you can change the forms do it now as its fairly soon that you move. By the time they open your application you are at the new address. Any changes after you submit the application can delay it. It would be different if your move would be months away but in this case I would change the forms to avoid any delays or confusion.

Okay - if I change the forms now.. am I going to have to re-do the forms that have the barcodes entirely? Or would just printing the page that has to do with the address be okay? I ask only because then I would have to re-send forms to my husband to sign all over..

I changed my address twice and it didn't delay it. As soon as I had the application file #, I emailed Buffalo. And then LA with my Canadian address.

If you have to send everything back than just send things off and change address once you have your ID/UIC#.
