Hi,
My wife is a student in the U.S for almost 6 years and I'm a Canadian PR from China since 2017. We got married a couple of months ago and after I went to the U.S. for long weekends several times we realize that it is better if we have access to both of our city/country cuz she never came here and some places will be fun IMO. So during her vacation back to China, she applied for a tourist visa there. It's been 37 days while the posted process time is 15 days. ( changed from 30 days at the end of July if not mistaken ) Therefore the panic spread, wondering if it is because it gets reviewed and suspected, and we want to figure out the chance of getting her visa, since in less than twenty days she will have to go back to states to school.
Her background:
-6 years in the U.S. since 2013, currently enrolled.
-a few 'good' visa records, including one Schengen
-24 y/o, with quite a big amount of assets (from her family) under her name in China.
-The purpose is " tourism" instead of visiting me. Mentioned me in the relative disclosure form but no invitation letter is attached since not required.
Question:
1. What do you think of the probability of her getting the tourist visa?
2. If she gets rejected, what would help for re-applying? like is it better to re-apply in U.S.? Immigration application is not considered worthy cuz she won't come here and my plan is to move to Bay Area soon. ( what material would help her to prove that?)
TIA
