I dont have any idea of passing ratio. But yes, i cleared one of pace level exam here and exam was not as tough as INDIAN CA exam is. Anyways , all is set for new cpa programme , so the question should be what will be level of pass percentage for new CPA prog, and this question also will not have a definite answer cause its new thing we are dealing with.

How difficult it is to take CGA for someone who has no background in Accountancy? CGA encourage students to take exam with or without Accountancy background. What is your opinion?

Your need Bachelors in Business Subjects. Accountancy Majors is ideal for CGA/CPA.

Yet i find people with medical/engineering background pursuing either MBA or CGA/CMA/CPA.

So it all depends on how much can to take!

I think Age is a factor. If your a fresh lad you can take the challenge and not Impossible but certainly for someone who does NOT know about accountancy exams will find it HARD to prepare for exams. Its not HARD to pass exams provided you have studied well for exam.

But fahad is saying even if u have ACCA, u should B.sc from oxford with 65% (what's this new surprise)

After this also they will evaluate and give the exemption

yes you need to have b.sc from uk and then u wil have evaluation and then they will tell you how much papers are exempted

so as i said

they firstly they req 3 yr relevant and recorded work experience from ACCA
2. bsc overall 65%

then evaluation for ur ACCA papers

then they will decide your standing in CGA

and even after evaluation u have to give 2 review papers law and tax

For cga 3 yrs exp and 4 yr degree is mandatory req

Yeah.. Start from ZERO. No exemptions. My cousin did the same and he dropped the idea of Canada after he spoke to CICA Admissions Department.

Can you give me idea how many exemptions I can expect from CGA considering my Bachelors, CA Intermediate and pursuing ACCA (just approx papers exemption not exact one)

Hi Guys,

Need help to get CGA designation. I have appeared in my last exam of CPA Australia and hopefully I will pass it. I know that CPA Australia and CGA / CMA canada has mutual recognition agreements.

My question is
Has anyone gone through this route ?
What are the costs involved?
Which one is better CGA or CMA?
