To have a copy certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:
1. Well nowhere in the instructions does it state that the passport copy has to be certified, it says "copy"
2. You have to have the stamps that are not in English/French translated. If the translation is done in Canada, then the translator certifies his/her translation.

I have a professional translator did the translation for the stamps not in English. I am wondering if I should have someone certify the passport pages where the non-english stamps are. Any idea?

Thanks PMM. I saw your answer to my other post on CITIZENTSHIP board. I am still a little worried not to certfify the pages where the stamps are since CIC said each translation need to be come with a certified copy and translator is not in the list who can certify (i am renewing my PR card)

I will also call CIC and see if they can answer.
