From their site I understand that Germany issues "Certificate of Good conduct " when requested in stipulated forms. Is that the German PCC which is accepted by CHC ? Or is there any other certificates we should be trying to procure ?

Different countries use their own words in their language for PCC but practically it should serve the same purpose. A police department /home affairs department/Interior minstry etc... who issue the certification about a person's conduct will of course reflect about any criminal record, if there is any thing adverse about him to report.

Hi,

You can send a request from here,

https://www.bundesjustizamt.de/DE/Themen/Buergerdienste/BZR/Ausland/Antrag/FAQ_node.html

pdf:

https://www.bundesjustizamt.de/DE/SharedDocs/Publikationen/BZR/antrag_en.pdf?__blob=publicationFile&v=11

PCC cost you 13 Euro, print the pdf (eng) signed it and send a scan copy of by email along with proof of payment.

It would take 30-45 days, you can send your application by German embassy in New Delhi
