I would strongly suggest include a cover letter on the application form stating again the reason for application and the CIC request letter. Also indicate that in case they won't allow a proxy to claim the letter to send it to the requesting office.the fee that you are paying includes the stamp fee sending it to the requesting office.Again as I haven't use a proxy I am not sure if they would really approve a proxy. If they would send it via snail mail, it's registered with tracking number, but ordinary and not express so for me it took 18 days for NS CIO to receive it.processing took 21 days plus the 18 days sent via mail.I would suggest do it NOW as the 60 days that CIC require might not be enough for SG COC.Fortunately for me my SG COC arrived in NS the very last day of the deadline given to me.
Thank you so much Man415 for answering all my doubts.

Hi Man415,

Should we be paying S$55 If we have a proxy to collect?

The entire process took quite long, hope the info helps. Also my COC was sent to my home address and not to CIC directly. When i called SPF they told me nowadays they are seding to residence address of the applicant b'cos they received lot of complaints from applicants that the COC mails were not reaching CIC sent from SPF.

Singapore POC appeal submitted 22-Feb-2014
Singapore application form by post 24-Mar-2014
received by singapore 27-Mar-2014
sent by singapore 25-Apr-2014
COC recevied at residence 14-May-2014
COC sent to CIC 23-May-2014
CIC received COC 30-May-2014

cheers :) i received request for passport in a week later.

Dear Guys,

I sent my all required documents to SPF to apply COC by courier from Canada to Singapore at June 2.
They got it and emailed me back about the case number and required form at June 10th.
I replied to them with attached forms by email which were all enclosed with my mail before already.
It is almost 10 days now. No any other response yet.
I am not Singaporean. May I please know how long it usually gonna be taken for processing it.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

did you courier the appeal form or application form ?
1. s per the CIC they want you to email the appeal form by email.
2. As per the SPF, they want you to mail (post) the appication form along with CIC letter and demand draft (singapore dollars)

You go with option 2, and you will receive some kind of response....they are little slow and I don't know why but it took me like couple months to be done with this process.

Also try calling them between 10 and 12 am singapore time. I got them on the phone twice in 10 to 15 times that i tried calling.

If you have done all above things....may be give another weeks time...and you will have a response.

good luck!

Thank you so much for your reply.
Yes. I do courier all of my application and appeal forms with other finger print, photograph, bank draft together.
I will try to call SPF at that time.

1) If the processing time is more than two month which is the limit time provided from CIC, do I need email CIC to explain it?
I haven't emailed back to CIC yet after I receiving the COC require letter. Do I need send any documents to CIC to respond it?

2) Are all of COC certificates issued by SPF going to resident address by mail now??

Looking forward to your reply.

I am not sure how CIC looks into this. I had gone over 2 months. But I did keep them posted on what I was communicating with SPF. for ex.

I emailed CIC when i sent my appeal form. And also when the I did not receive any reply after 3 weeks. Also when I sent the appeal form and application form with all other supporting docs via post. Then when I received a confirmation from SPF I forwaded that email to CIC. So in reality every communication.

Keep in mind that CIC did not respond to any of my email communication, this does not mean that they are not looking at it. I am saying this b'cos the day they received by certificate of clearance, next day i got email from CIC request for Passport.

Hope this helps...all the best. its just wait and watch and you will be through.

I also applied for Singapore Clearance Certificate for my family. We sent the application, fingerprints, bank draft on July 2. Singapore police received it on July 8. Then, they sent us an application number and a request for additional documents on July 9.

As per their emails, I sent appeal forms and supporting documents as scanned copies in the email on July 10. After that, I sent an email to check if I am approved for the appeal. However, there was no response from them so far.

I was worried if my email was received successfully because the attachments were more than 1MB for each.

Should I send the appeal form again via post mail? Any guidance, please. Thank you

Hi there,

Updated my information here:

My COC is sending out from Singapore to Canada now. I called SPF and got the tracking number.
I don't know how long it gonna be taken for this kind of registered mail.

For your reference, just reply SPF's email with appeal form attachments. They might not receive the email if you attached too many documents.
Keep calling and tracking!

Hope I can get it soon!

Thanks,
Yvette

Thanks YiLin. Did the Singapore police inform you that you were approved for the appeal? Or will they send any updates after you submitted your appeals?

Thank you very much.

Hi Karen,

As they didn't received my email with appeal form at the beginning (It really wasted my time for a long while).
So I called them and resend it right away. I required them to reply me at the same time.

Then I got the email from them as follows:

"I refer to your preceding email.
Thank you for sending the required documents.
We shall commence for processing as of today.
Please be inform that processing time for non-citizens may take about 15 to 20 working days and that is excluding the posting time. "

The people working at SPF COC department are quite nice but pretty slow~

Hi Yi Lin,

Did the Singapore Police Force send the COC to you or to CIC? I also need the COC for Canadian immigration and the SPF just emailed me about my reference number. However, they mentioned that they will send the COC to my address, rather than CIC.
I asked the mail address of CIC, but not sure whether they will reply to me.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi there,

Yes. SPF will send the COC to your own address directly. It took around 10 days.
And you have to courier it to CIC as soon as your get it. And the mailing address of CIC is just right in your required document email sent from them.
Please read it carefully.
I have done it successfully already.

Did CIC issued you request letter for Singapore COC/PCC?

If yes, at what stage you received the letter before medical or after medical?

Is there any workaround to obtain Singapore PCC without request letter from CIC?

Regards,
R

Hi, you have to wait the requiring letter sent from CIC. I got that after I done my medical check.
After they received my COC of Singapore around one month, they started to processes my case.
And you have to wait until you get the letter.
