Hi,
I am a Fall 2017 McGill student who applied for CAQ with a timeline as below:

2017-03-30: Acknowledgement of receipt of your application
2017-03-30: Confirmation of payment
2017-03-31: Opening of your file

I couriered all the documents and got confirmation from the Courier agency that the documents were delivered on 2017-04-04
Yet, I haven't still received a confirmation of receipt of documents from MIDI.

Anyone else heard or received any updates?

Why not contact mcgill directly given every application is different and any response you get here will only reflect that individuals experience.

I have applied FOR CAQ on 20/03/2017 and payment is done on same day and file is open on 21march but no confirmation till today

Nope...nothing yet.
From what I am hearing its taking them 4 calendar weeks to acknowledge receipt and approximately a week to issue the decision letter. Going by that, I should hear something next week.

But in my case it's been more than month now and my intake starts from 3rd of May ..

Hi Bhanu,
FEDEX confirmed that my documents reached MIDI on 4 April 2017.
I called MIDI last night and they told me that the confirmation of receipt of document now takes between 26-30 working days....So I guess all we can do is wait patiently - knowing that the Study Permit application shall be delayed accordingly.

I finally have an update today (24 working days after receipt of documents by MIDI)

2017-03-30: Acknowledgement of receipt of your application
2017-03-30: Confirmation of payment
2017-03-31: Opening of your file
2017-05-04 Receipt of your documents

It should be a couple of days more before I receive my CAQ.
So everyone, hang on in there and its only a matter of time before you receive yours.

I have the exact same dates as you mentioned for CAQ application submission, only my documents reached them on 6th April. I haven't received any confirmation of receipt of documents yet. When I contacted my university they said that the processing time for CAQ has been increased from 20 working days to 6 weeks now.

Hey everyone, finally got my CAQ decision letter this morning (Sunday, 4:50am India time). I got it after 27 working days or 40 calender days.
So everyone else, who is waiting for a CAQ, have patience and hang on in there...its just a matterof time

Got an update on the receipt of documents from MIDI yesterday(16.05.2017; 10:30PM IST) after 23 working days. Waiting for decision letter.

I applied online on April 12 and my documents reached MIDI on 18, still no updates.
It seems MIDI takes a whole month just to open our envelops and just a few minutes to actually decide.
They should hire more envelop openers as $111 application fee is too expensive.

They receive the documents but don't update the status. I was in a same situation, my documents reached MIDI on 6th April and I had no update till 11th May so I called them. The person on line said " Due to high volume we may not update the status outright". After the call I received the confirmation of receipt the next day and CAQ in 3 days. So I suggest you try calling them.
