I just got passport request last Monday, January 18th. I haven't deferred yet.

Registration still open up until the 25th, but classes already started last Monday. I just sent an email to my admissions officer asking if its too late to attend the class (awaiting reply) since there's a hold in my account as well. My next intake would be September 2021 which is far too long. Any advise?

Just call Centennial instead of waiting for reply to your email.

I also mailed them regarding hold yesterday. Lets see when they reply. Anyways, the classes have begun and they usually reply to mails in 4-5 days. By then, i wonder how much they will go ahead with the syllabus. So i dont think one should register for jan now.

Just call them. Plenty of ways to call to Canada.

I got email reply. They said my program (Software Engineering Technology - Artificial Intelligence) is not available for May and that I should defer to fall 2021.
And thats what I'm gonna do since there's no other option now
And now that its about Sept, I will also apply to some other colleges because what if I get a better college now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
