If you are not fluent then yes, do take a short time to plan your responses.

Don't feel pressured to speak for the full 60 seconds (or whatever time you are given).

Some questions will ask for fairly specific information - if you can give a complete and correct answer in less than the available time, this should not be a problem.

Other questions will be more open-ended and conversational, and you probably want to speak at length for these, but if you come to a conclusion with a few seconds to spare then don't worry about it.

Thanks All for your good advice

Actually I have already done with IELTS scoring more than what required for CEC Skill B ( CLB 7 in Writing, CLB 8 in Speaking and Reading , but scored CLB 6 in listening)

Though I am fine for Skill level B category ( my NOC 2283) Still I am trying again if I can score more than 4L in CELPIP) if fail to score than nothing to loose

Thanks to all again for your help and advice

I attended info session today, one can find all at here:

It might be useful for future test takers to learn what CELPIP is!

Must say CELPIP is easier than IELTS, finished the test in about 1:45 hours.

Listening is too easy.
Felt little lost in speaking section at start because everyone in the class was started, but it was simple enough.
Reading is tricky as in IELTS.
Writing is effortless.

Painless. Go for it.

My result:

Reading: 5L
Writing: 4H
Listening: 5H
speaking: 4L

Not a single day of preparation. Go for CELPIP.

Thank you all for your kind support.

The toughest part of CELPIP is speaking test as you need to speak to the computer... ;D
And I'd personally say that writing is much better than IELTS as you have word count tracker...

I didn’t enjoy the speaking part for CELPIP... felt like a maniac talking to computer. Plus that ticking timer was stressing me out.
