Hi guys,

I have received celpip results as LRWS 9,10,7,7 and my EE application is in pool.

My question is if I apply for revaluation for W and S do I need to revert the score that got until I get the reevaluation results.

Adding to that, currently how long is it taking for celpip test reevaluation..

Please help....
I think you can update language testing details in pool anytime based on your result.

I went for revaluation in writing and unfortunately it did not change. It took 1 weeks for me to get revaluation result.

Hi - I wrote CELPIP exam on June 9, 2019, I have 4 year's of experience in Canada. My Score was L -8,R-7,W-7,S-6 . I applied for re-evaluation. I am afraid and, I am in need of 7 in speaking to Move forward. Is there any chance of increasing a score by re-evaluation ?
Is your speaking repose gets changed after revaluation?

I took the test once in July 2019, and I got the results: L:11, R:6, W:7, S:6. I didn't prepare much for this test and I took it trusting my language proficiency.
After a lot of preparation I took it again in Oct 2019. This time I got the results as L:8, R:9, W:8, S:6. I'm confident my speaking was much better than last time but I got the same score. I need 7 to be eligible for express entry so I applied for re-evaluation. Let's see what happens.

In general I believe this test is not the right way to evaluate the english proficiency. How does speaking to a computer about strange topics reflect reality? I'm not a talkative person in general and how does that say that I lack the ability to talk?
I've been living in Canada for over 6 years now. I got my PHD in electrical engineering and I've been working for over 2 years in a very high level company. I never had any problem communicating in English. I've had several presentations in English and I've published over 10 scientific articles in conferences and journals.

I took the test on Jan 5th and got my results today exactly in 4 days. That's quite efficient. My scores are -
L - 12, R - 12, W - 11 and S - 8.

It's disappointing as I hoped for atleast 9 in Speaking. I was certain about getting a minimum of 10 in writing and got 11. I am working with American Clients for close to 11 years now and have more than decent English skills. The only reason I took CELPIP because they are declaring results in 4-5 calendar days only. My friends did warn me about their speaking test but I didn't pay enough attention to it.

Have applied for a revaluation of speaking section and hoping they at-least bump up my speaking score to 9. It will be a shame if I have to take another test again. I would rather go for IELTS this time.

That's a really good score! I believe you will get an improved score. The Speaking test is hard but doable. I got 8 in Writing initially and asked for a revaluation and got it increased to 10. Good luck!

Yes..I asked for re-evaluation in writing and speaking.
New score: L 11, R 12, W 9(changed from 8), S 8(changed from 7)
Still lacking that dreaded 1 point in speaking
Will appear in IELTS soon! People are suggesting me to go for IELTS because it is almost a general consensus now that the speaking section in CELPIP is unfair!
Helo Kamran,
Can you please advise me about your preparation material for the CELPIP exam.

Finally got the revaluation result in exactly a week. Applied ton 9th and got the result on 16th. They have updated my Speaking score from 8 to 9. I think it's good enough for Express entry profile. I hoped for a 10 in Speaking but it's still good enough and I know why I lost those marks.

My updated scores are L - 12, R - 12, W - 11 and S - 9.

Hi guys,
I recently wrote celpip exam on the 3rd of June, and my result are as follows L8 R10 S10 W8. I'm airtight sure that l did well in Writing and listening. However, do you think the listening re-evaluation will be increased? I'm pretty confident that the writing will be increased because l know l nailed it but am not so sure about the listning even though l did pretty well in it. Thanks

Let me know your thought.

It would be really strange if they changed your listening section. I would not recommend to ask for a re-evaluation on it. I got W8 as well, and asked for a re-evaluation and got increased to W10, so that's definitely possible.

Unfortunately as listening and reading are all multiple choice/matching etc and electronically marked with the exact same set of answers for everyone, your score will not change.

Speaking and writing however are subject to re-evaluation. Still no guarantees but these are the only 2 I'd recommend paying for if you're confident you did better.
