I don't know why they ask so late. Anyways good that someone is looking at your application and I have seen people getting an approval without submitting the RCMP letter. Get the RCMP done at the earliest and send the document number. How much time they have provided?
30 days.
Getting fingerprinting done is not an issue. RCMP takes a hell lot of time to process these days. 4-8 weeks minimum. Then there is Canada Post (why do they allow this abomination to even exist!) which delays letters by 10-20 days.

No fukken idea! There is never any rhyme or reason for these things.
First they did not give her BIL for 2 months and now this. Its a comedy of errors!
You're right. I just hope everything goes well and you finally get your case approved after this, no more surprises. Its really frustrating :(

Oh I don't have much faith in this system. Next they will ask for re-medicals because they can. Wonderful folks!

Okay folks ... looks like I have successfully jinxed my application. Its fucked!
IRCC is now asking for RCMP Criminal Record Check for my wife of all people! Great!
Given that delay in processing RCMP CRC, it is now a delay of 2 months or so. So cya folks!
This is ridiculous, they refused my application that they didnt get my adr, then they reopened it after one month. After that no update.

That's sad to hear at this point. I think they are requesting from some applicants. Hope you can get it done sooner !!!

Really ? Even after passing medicals?
Yeah. RCMP requests these days take 2 months to process (they were supposed to take 3 days!) and then Canada Ghost takes 2-3 weeks to deliver them from Ottawa to BC -- that is if they do not lose them (there are people who have faced that issue as well). So we are looking at 3 months or so. Worse part? RCMP cannot send email and will only send using ordinary mail with no tracking because they are cool like that! They can recieve fingerprints using email but they cannot send letter using email! And IRCC needs it scanned. Oh Canada!

That means it will be March if not April before I can complete this ADR. And by that time, my medical would have expired.... again!

Oh Canada!

But the medical is 5 years valid, I dont think they will ask to redo. Hope your RCMP report will process faster.

*Single, inland, Canadian education and work experience
*It seems like old medicals are taking longer than newer medicals to process
*Used home country police cert from 2016, went back in 2018 & 2019 (1 month & 3.5month) - wasn't asked to provide a new one - I got a new one recently and ended up not using it
*Also lived in two other countries, each <6months, wasn't asked to provide police cert either
*I'm not sure but I think they didn't contact my company

If you have questions, feel free to ask me :)

congratulations! Do keep us posted on when your card gets home. I'm hearing it's taken as little as 10 days for some versus many months for others. I haven't been able to determine a logic/pattern for this difference.

Do you know how to send document number? I have got our RCMP fingerprint done. Have you seen others doing this?

You might have got a placeholder enabled in your application. Also, send the DCN number document with an explanation letter that RCMP is taking 8 weeks nowadays. IRCC is aware of the delays in getting RCMP report which is mentioned on RCMP website.
