I also got a ghost update last week.
AOR: Sept 6th, MEP: Sept 30th.
I called CIC, I was informed that I passed my Background check, and it is in queue for the officer to do eligibility checks for my application.
Also that my file is now with CPC Edmonton.

I received ITA Sept 18th.
Applied Today Sept 23rd. Received my AOR today Sept 23rd.
Applied for BOWP today too Sept 23rd because my status is expiring Oct 28th.

Whewwwwww!! I'm officially so tensed up lol.

Any progress on your application? mainly on your BOWP ? (I have similar timeline and BOWP applied on 25th Sept, status expired on 28th Sept.)

I wasn't asked to upload when I submitted the application.

How can I see the status IP1 or IP2?

Thanks. Surprisingly it was nothing, not a single ghost update. Checked my application almost everyday.
As matter of fact, there is no other update than this message in my status.

Latest update:
Review of medical results - October 15, 2019:You passed the medical exam.

Timeline was changed into "Weeks" instead of "Months" but it was two weeks ago - i guess for everybody.

This is so hard! I don't want to put my hopes up since there are so many early sept AORs not getting PRs, but my AOR is only 3 days away from you!!!!

Quick question,
Does calling IRCC for enquiring about whats going on with file status affect our file,
Because my agent told me that dont call them because everytime you call them, they put a note in your file that you have called these many times which may affect processing time.

My work permit expired on 28th Sept, just 3 days after I applied for BOWP.

NOC 4163
