I got through this morning and call center girl was very nice said they had received everything but no decision made ...usual bullshit of when to call back etc....very disheartening as I cannot see why its so hard for them to make a decision.

I dont see the point to be honest. I got medical request on March 21st so I have obviously been assessed as passed for eligibility. I have paid the fee ...so nothing else needs to be done. The notes would take 30 days. I am just very angry at the whole situation now ...more angry as before....how incompetent are these people to print a letter and post it ...just sickens me

The medical just indicates recommend passed. It needs to be assessed by an officer to passed before being sent for final review. All in all, I think we'll hear something soon.

well the medical received has been in ecas since March 29th ...so how hard is it to make a final decision. Makes no sense as other people after me are getting copr in the post so whats my delay

Different people different cases and scenarios
There is a background check involved
So it depends on which country you come from, the agreements between those two countries so that Canada can have your background and criminality and whatever, too many things to consider

Well I wrote the above but I don't beleive in it hahaha! I have been here for 5 years now so they know everything about me why they don't just give me that PR !!!

I am from Ireland so I assuming the background check is not too bad. I know lots of Irish after me who have got it ...just frustrating as visa is out weds so i will have to apply

Hey, at least you guys are already in Canada! I applied from the UK, and in the meantime, my Canadian girlfriend has had to go back to Canada by herself. I'm literally waiting to be able to even return to the country and restart the life that I already had there.
