Mine was expiring on 18th April, that's why I applied on 16th so that by the time I will get my stamped PP back, they won't be bale to process my file. But it never happened that way. I think I have a record BOWP approval.

Can you please let me know how did you apply for the BOWP? I want to apply myself I don't want to go on implied status as I go between US/CA often for work
Thank you

Hey! I applied it online. Its pretty simple won't take long. Let me know if you need any help.

I applied for mine bowp on the 14th as my first bowp was expiring the 16th april... mine got approved today as well, and I got decision made on sunday in ecas! 68 days my a**

Hey guys I just received RFPRF. I was so down yesterday when the call centre agent told me that my eligibility has still not been assessed. This just made my day. I'm now joining the passport request line. Yeahhh!! :D :D

So what now? We have to apply BOWP for them to process the PR? What the ****. To be honest, I don't mind paying the money. It's just disgusting and feel sick.

I have noticed a trend here on the forum and on other PR related facebook pages. It appears that CIC are processing bridging visas either right before or after people receive their permanent residency. It seems people who applied for bridging visas are getting them processed in as little as 10 days so CIC can keep their money. If this is the case, I think it needs to be brought to light and I would be interested in hearing from you if it has happened.

Wish , that was true.
My BOWP was approved on April 8 ,still no sign of RPRF. :'(
I thought that meant my pr application is good because my wp was approved while they were still working on jan 7 applications and i applied on feb 24 but agent told me that my background check was started only in first week of april and have not passed yet.

I'm Oct/9 applicant with MR from CIC on Mar/16/2016. Completed Meds by Mar/25. I have few questions on GCMS notes below, which I got few mins back. (1) Why is my CRIMINALITY status "In Progress", when RCMP says "No Reportable Trace". (2) What is difference between Security & Criminality. What else they do in Security check, once Criminality is done ? (3) Surprised no one took a look at the file, though the due date on SECURITY and CRIMINALITY is 2016/02/11

Hey Mridul!

Criminality is usually stays In progress until your PPR.

RCMP No reportable trace means that they couldn't find any record against you.

Security basically covers any violation against Human rights, any connection with radical groups or any threat you could possessed against security of the country, whereas criminality covers any criminal record in local or federal police records.

In security section sometime they don't put any statements as it has some confidential information as it is performed by intelligence agencies (CSlS) which have collaboration with security agencies of different countries.

Decision made in ecas prior, or did the COPR show up in the mail?
