in Ontario you are entitled to retain your OHIP. Not sure about the other provinces. If you are in Ontario, let me know and I will give you the information that I used.

Yes I am in Ontario, can you please PM me what info you have for the OHIP

Nothing heard until April 5, 2016, I could not bear the pain of endless waiting. I called the CIC call centre and the agent was really nice and helpful, he sent me an email including the panel list and told me to do an upfront medical exam.

Medical done: April 7, 2016
ECAS status updated:Medical received: April 17, 2016

PPR: April 25, 2016

It is more than 18 months already. Best wishes to every of you guys!

Has anyone been requested to send T4 and NOA and subsequently received an update from CIC after? They requested these documents from me on March7 and I sent them the next day. Since they acknowledged receipt of those documents I haven't heard from them again. I spoke to a call centre agent and she told me that my eligibility is still under review. At this stage??? I am a Sept 29, 2014 applicant. Can anyone explain how T4 and NOA help to prove eligibility?

I was requested too....in march ...haven't back either..... frustrating ....... Called CIC agent no response..

Thank you Yaya2016.

In fact when i booked an appointment with CIC Call centre on 31 Mar 16, they told me Halifax CIC will contact me in 4-6 weeks with an appointment date but i got an email exactly in a week's time (06 Apr 16) and the date given was for last week (3 weeks). If you dont have an urgency for the landing, i would recommend do your inland landing only.

Congratulations, feel happy for you

Just wondering how long will it take to schedule an inland landing. My friend told me it will take 7 weeks, is this true? I am in Halifax too.

To guys who were able to check with the CIC call center agents the status of their application - can you tell me how you went about it?

I have managed to get through twice (after trying 20 times) and each time the very first question that I get asked is - when did I apply? As soon as I say Oct 2014, I get the standard response, it is within the 19 month processing period, we cannot verify the status and all that..

I am not sure how you managed to get past that..

It depends on the agent who picks up your call, few are nice and will check for you, most of them won't. I kept calling until I got one that did :)

I personally think that there is no point to talk to call center agents. they clearly tells you when dial in ,,,the call center agent does not have access to your file and can't speed up the process. I have no idea on what basis they give you update about your file.

Also a visa officer is the one who can take decision and has access to your file.

There is no way to call and find the truth.

I agree. Getting info from call centre agent is useless. No matter what they say, take it with grain of salt. Though I 'm done with 19 months as indicated on the web, when called I was asked to call back 3 months after I get my MR (which I got on Mar/28). So according them, I have to call them after June/28. Issue is, by this time my application should have been done - they dont answer that.

That's true .. I m still waiting for medical .. I m oct 6 applicant .. I don't bother calling them . Just being patient
