I partially agree that calling them is useless. Yes they don't take any action in speeding up the process, that's true, and most of them will tell you that they cannot verify the file or that your application is in process, which is obvious for us and frustrating. Though last time I called, an agent actually looked at my file and told me in which phase it was and when the last update was. It's basically what the GCMS notes will tell you. That gave me a little relief to know that all steps were passed and next step is the signature from VO.

I agree, it's like a GCMS screenshot without the 30 day wait.

Thank you Yaya2016.

In fact when i booked an appointment with CIC Call centre on 31 Mar 16, they told me Halifax CIC will contact me in 4-6 weeks with an appointment date but i got an email exactly in a week's time (06 Apr 16) and the date given was for last week (3 weeks). If you dont have an urgency for the landing, i would recommend do your inland landing only.

Thanks for this!! 3 weeks is not bad

Hello guys!

CIC is not leaving any coin unturned to make money rom us. I have applied for BOWP on 16th April and it has been approved today. it took them 10 days to approve my BOWP. I think they approved it so I won't be able to cancel the application and request for refund as I got my PPR on 21-April.

Just wondering how long it took people from visa exempt countries to receive copr after decision made?

Thanks

Can you please let me know how did you apply for the BOWP? I want to apply myself I don't want to go on implied status as I go between US/CA often for work
Thank you
