What should I expect next if I'm from visa-exempt countries?

you might be asked for rcmp again as its been over a year and its expired.. and to make a decision they need valid rcmp and pcc... my file was reaady for ppr but they sent rcmp request as it was expired and now im stuck at that stage.. so might be wise to have that handy. will save time..

Hey guys.

I received an email from CIC this evening, asking for an updated Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) and a new police certificate from any country I've been in for longer than 6 months since I left Canada (I applied from the UK).

Has anyone else had something similar? I assume this is just to have more up to date info, right?

At the very least it means someone has looked at my application again since my medical exam last month!

Hey guys.

I received an email from CIC this evening, asking for an updated Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) and a new police certificate from any country I've been in for longer than 6 months since I left Canada (I applied from the UK).

Has anyone else had something similar? I assume this is just to have more up to date info, right?

At the very least it means someone has looked at my application again since my medical exam last month!

That's right especially if you were asked for rcmp before. I know rcmp is not madatory if your name can not be found in any records. If you share the same name with a criminal, they will ask for rcmp. Before they issue PPR they need to see a valid rcmp

Hey guys,
Just to let you know that I successfully landed this morning at the Edmonton CIC office! I had an appointment at 9am, I arrived suuuuuuper early (couldn't really sleep last night to be honest) and I was the first to go.
I entered the office at 9am, I was done at 9.06am... It was super fast! She looked at my passport, took all my old visas, asked me 3 questions (like if I ever got charged for something on Canada or abroad, if I had a refusal to enter Canada before and something else, can't remember what) I signed in front of her, and that was it!
It is such a relief...
