I just called CIC to check about the added line on my ecas. The woman told me that she has a good news: it's approved, my COPR was sent on February 25th (I am from a non visa country).

I am soooo happy...

Hi All,

i am an october 14 applicant under CEC program.

I added my spouse on JULY 2015. Now i got PPR and Decision Made ;D. I am happy as well as confused, if the request was for both of us or only me. Is there anyone in the same boat??. There is a line in my ecas (We sent you correspondence on July 17, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.) . This line was regarding CIC's reply to my email regarding my marriage. How will i know if my spouse was added to my application. I was never requested any document for spouse which makes me worry a bit.

Need advice

Did you ordered any GCMS notes after sending documents in 2015? You may also try calling CIC and check for the details.

Send a mail to CIC which you would have sent while you have added your spouse and check with them if they have added your spouse into your file.

You need to go to this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/index.asp

Find a doctor near you recognized by CIC (your own doctor can NOT do the exam): http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx

You need to ask the doctor to send the results electronically, see instructions in this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

Good luck

Great!!! Thanks madlouni, super fast reply! I guess it's a good time to prepare for the Medical exams for all the OCT applicants if everything is fine. Hope all of OCT group can finish all the process soon since we already been waiting for such a long time~~~~~

Thank you so much to everyone, it's such a roller coaster of emotions it's exhausting... But honestly, this forum is the only thing that helped me keep some kind of sanity throughout the whole process! I will let you know as soon as I get my COPR in my mail box!

CIC seems decided to clear the backlog, that's a really good thing. I hope you'll get your PR really soon too!

Good Bye! :) :) :) You have too much work in order to settle in this country!

Agreed Man...But this Upfront story is very confusing at least in India...I called couple of doctors in India today for booking upfront medicals for my wife (since I am in Canada)....but none of them booked any appointment as they said that we do not do upfront medicals for the people who have already applied....Only certain categories like visitor, worker, spouse etc where the medical has to be submitted with the file is what they do....They also mentioned that I should wait for the instructions from CIC where I will get the form which will have the IME #....they cannot generate the IME # but can generate UMI #....I am so dam confused....

Yes, this is the same in my country, when I tried to do upfront. I guess only certain doctors allow you to do upfront if you have already applied

Guys, how to contact call center outside of Canada? It seems every time I called, the number cannot be reached.

Congrats to everyone whose file been finalized. Just wondering if everyone's file was in the Ottawa office or else where?

I haven't heard much since RCMP request. I just talked to CIC rep and he told me to wait until July 2016.

I believe all old CEC applications are processed in Ottawa office. Did CIC rep give more details about your application?

Nope. He wouldn't even tell me if there's any notes written. All he said, "He can ONLY see what I see on ECAS status".. which I believe is not very accurate since some members got useful info out the CIC reps

If you do upfront medical from anywhere - Canada or outside Canada, the doctor can only generate the UMI #.
Mention to Doctor that this is upfront for PR application. Once your upfront medical exam has been completed, the doctor will give you a document confirming that you underwent a medical exam. It will have UMI #.

While the IME # is generated by CIC when they send you the medical request.
What you can do is, around same time that your doctor uploads the medical results online send scan copy of UMI# document with your Application #, Client Code, etc to "CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca ". CIC will then link that UMI # with your PR Application.

Wowwwwwww....just receive the "Ready for Visa" email, minutes after I send an email to CPC asking for acknowledgement of receipt...

I am an Oct 21 applicant.
