Guys, Liberal's won last night could be a good sign for us. A new citizenship and immigration minister will be appointed in the next few weeks. Not sure if we will see any expedition anytime soon, but it would be interesting to see if they can deliver the promises on immigration subject.

hopefully, they will keep their words. no matter what, just finish our file on time.

Hi,

I did my upfront medicals in May. Got my GCMS notes today. It says Medical Passed. Is that a good sign? Or I still need to wait my turn for medicls after all August and September applicants? Should I expect my RPRF soon?

Buddy, not to discourage you...but you will only have advantage by few weeks from any other October applicant that has not done the upfront medicals...You are still in the queue and as you said...our turn will come when they would have completed July - Aug - Sep applicants.....

Just got my GCMS notes after a month long wait - Friggin 46 page document, very detailed though with every single file that they requested and I sent them over the last one year marked with the time sent

1. RPRF : COMPLETE
2. Medical : PASSED - comment - No health impairment sufficient to prevent admission for medical reasons under Section 38
3. # of clients - 2 (My wife and I)
4. Security : NOT STARTED
5. Criminality : IN PROGRESS , although there is a subsection under the main section from RCMP - No reportable trace

Can anyone share if they got anything in their GCMS who applied in Oct 2014 ?

What about Eligibility?

That simply means that they haven't started working on our file yet....With my experience after reading this forum is when they start working on Eligibility, things start moving on you file...like you get the medicals, RPRF etc....We are at the last end of the old CEC so do not expect Eligibility Assessment to start in near future.....We have July/Aug/Sep applicants before us and even some of the May/June applicants....

Guys ,,, can we Message Justin trudeau ,Expalining our situation ???

He is on Facebook account .....

May be if every body from this Thread send him a message we can bring it in his attention .....

How come if my eligibility hasn't started, my RPRD, Medical and other items in the assessment have a status. That doesn't make any sense. Oh well, who knows what is going on !! :-/

Buddy,

Everything else has a status as you did them upfront...so it gets updated on the file and that's what you see in the GCMS notes...and as I mentioned in another thread you will have an advantage by couple of weeks from other applicants as when CIC would come to check your eligibility and pass it...they would notice that you have already done the medicals and paid RPRF...you will directly get the PPR...but only few weeks of advantage...nothing more than that....Hope this makes sense....Thanks...

Guys..I see a ray of hope for old CEC applicants...Read this comment from a fellow member...

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/those-who-waiting-express-entry-in-six-months-and-not-finalized-t317706.0.html;msg4721141#msg4721141

It says that the secretary of the MP told him that there is some FSW Quota that CIC has met...hence EE applications are like on hold...may be this would be blessing for us and we may see some movement in coming months as there would be more VO's working on the old CEC....Just my observation and I could be wrong.....
