CEC October 2014 Applicants

Hi All,

I'm a single mother and received my AOR on Feb/2015. The situation is that I did not send any proof of full custody of my son, but I have added his birth certification and the Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent/Guardian for Minors Immigrating to Canada (IMM 5604).
Do you think that I will have any problems with my application?

In General, if CIC needs some clarifications, certainly they will get back to you, in case of my friends, they requested him to submit the ongoing medical test results, doctors opinion etc..so nothing to worry as of now. All the best...

Hello Guys,

I did my landing today at Niagara Falls (Rainbow bridge) with my lettre ( confirmation of residency ) i had to wait à little bit but finally i'm permanent résident they kept à coput the copy of the confirmation of the residency and put the other one my passeport. I should my card between 4 and 8 weeks !

Congrats! Did they ask you some documents to send them? Because I sent mine about 3 weeks ago but no updates (I'm still waiting for my notice of assessments though, as canada revenue agency needs time to process my taxes assessment with my T4 that I never received before last month).

I actually received an invitation for Express Entry yesterday. I already got my MR (updated in ecas) and was wondering if it would really worth it to try it... I'm not sure we can have 2 RP in process for the CEC category at the same time?

Hi all


I am trying my best to not get angry at all these delays but something got me this week. I applied October 10th 2014 , I made sure as soon as I became eligible for CEC in September 2014 to apply as soon as possible. So I made it under the new system my friend who was eligible in September 2014 was kinda lazy about the whole thing and he applied in December 2014.In the end i made the cut for the old cec and he didnt. He applied under the new system on April 25th and he was approved for PR last friday while I still wait for a mdeical request.

Its so unfair. I am happy he got my PR but why do i still wait and he gets it so quick. I hate the way Canadian Immigration are treating us

1. We received your application on October 16 2014
2. We started processing your application on February 18 2015 .

This 2nd line is just added today

How long does it take to get passport request from this date ?
I already have my upfront medical. There is not update on that btw.

Anyone knows what's next step ?
