Hey Sam78000, can you confirm if your preferred Language was English or French ? reason being, we had few Oct applicants who had French as their preferred language and their process has been pretty fast. Hence checking.. Wish you all the best mate !

Thank you, my preferred language is French.

Hi all,

Do you know if the 2nd line will only appear (ECAS- we started processing your application on...) when the review of the application and supporting documents has been completed at the visa office, in other words, when they start to check the eligibility?

Thanks in advance.

?
The 2nd line will indicate that you will get RPRF soon. Did you get that

you can do your upfront medicals, there is no pre-requisite.

just check your gcms and make sure that your file is being reviewed.

As per my understanding, if they have not even started looking at your file, there is no point doing the upfront meds, as it has a validity of one year only.

Ohh I see that I have never applied for any GCMS notes.. I booked an appointment as other apllicaant was applying for it and their ECAS now adding line that medical has been received. So I thought it's good to do upfront medical to save some time..

Thanks

No. They have your medical report and they start checking them are two separate things. You still have to wait until it's your turn. If they haven't started looking into your file after one year, you have to re-do the medical test.

Hey how safe is to do upfront medical?

No :(, I am trying to figure out how it works.
Thus, even if they start or complete the eligibility we will not have any new line in ECAS... :'(
There seems to be little consistency to the order or speed in which applications are processed.

This really depends. If you are confident with your application, I think it's pretty safe. The validity of upfront medical is 12 months. It would be rare if you havn't come to this medical check stage at this time next year if everything in your application is good enough.

Just my personal opinion. On the other hand, you never know.

hello friends !!
I am also 10th October applicant, I got my AOR on 12th February. Same like you guys I received the RCMP request for me and my husband on 30 march 2015, we submitted it within the given time frame.

Since then no new news, but last week they updated my online status with my lawyer's address, before it was showing only my home address. I didn't requested them for that since my mailing address is my lawyer's address from the day I filled my immigration file.
I saw in September thread that some of the people has noticed this update with their online status. i am happy, at least someone has open my file.. :) ;) :D ;D ;D

I also noticed a change in my online status....I have my other WP file being sent through our company's lawyers and I noticed that they have changed the mailing address to the Lawyers address whereas home address is still shown as mine....
