I called CIC twice and they said, its 13 months from the time you submit your application

I know. But you know all due dates in GCMS notes are 1 year from AOR date. That's why ...

It is from the date they receive complete application package - it will take 13 months. But it can be more than that as we'll. it's case to case.
As per website it say from when they receive complete package.
In GCMS notes it is updated as maximum due date for - criminality and background check. - it may take more or even less than the due date mentioned.
if you stayed in more countries or cic vendors having less as access to your country or any other reason or If you are out of canada and not residing from origin country so on....
It may completely depends on your VO also

13 months due date is from the date AOR received not from the application package received.

Amer88 / anyone else doing or done their upfront medicals,

So I did mine this Saturday and it went pretty smoothly and took under an hour to get my Blood/Urine sample , Chest X-ray and an additional liver test done(may or may not be required) if you have a visible tattoo (I have one so had to get it done, costs extra $12 which is not bad at all)

Does anyone know what are the next steps? The doctor advised I can fax the results to CIC. Now, I was told that since i'm doing an upfront test, CIC would NOT have the file created on their system and they created a new one for me.

Is anyone aware of the fax number for CIC PR applicants ?

Cheers
M

Found this recent observation on an immigration lawyer's blog:

"For economic applicants who have pending applications for permanent residence filed before January 1, 2015, the processing of these applications may be further delayed and take two or three times the processing time of those filed under Express Entry, as the government makes every effort to demonstrate that Express Entry is the best option for Canadian employers and prospective immigrants alike."

I just asked my own lawyer what to expect (I'm an Aug 2014 CEC applicant) and he estimates that 14-18 months may be the current time frame for those of us still waiting under CEC. Guessing that's not really what any of us wanted to hear. :(

I saw the above message in Aug applicants board. I applied in Oct/2014 under CEC (NOC # is for S/W Engineers, dont remember the # on top of my head) and received AOR in Feb/2015. Considering the above timeline, is it possible to apply under Express Entry, while my application is in process under CEC prior to Jan/2015. Any downside in concurrent processing of 2 applications ? If I get approval under EE, I will withdraw my old CEC application & viceversa.

I waited for a Long time and finally I have done my medical and paid RPRF Fees!
Please add it to time sheet
Medical done June 16/2015

Updated....

What did happen for CEC applications. It looks like quite slow. Actually the processing time affect our life very much. What we should do now?
Is it possible to switch to EE now as I am an Oct. appliciant?
What kind of files we need prepare?
