Hello. I have applied for CEC on 21st oct 2014. My work permit ran out on 30th september and was on implied status because I applied for a new work permit till 3 dec. I have till 3rd march to leave canada so can I apply for a visitor visa and stay in the country even if it takes more than 3rd march for them to reply or I have to leave by then?

as long as you are on implied status, I believe you are OK to stay. If you have enough saving money to support you, there is no reason refusing you.

That means once I apply for the visitor visa I can stay in Canada even if they do not reply by 3rd March. Reason why I am asking this is that I have already been on implied status till 3rd december because I applied for a new work permit which got rejected
