Hope the cap won't be just reached before us.canada_CEC2410 said:I am not sure what is going on with Oct applicants, we are struck at Oct 20th :'(
Yes, i had taken a Bank Draft from Scotia Bank only. Though it was encashed on 19 Dec 14 (per the printout statement that they gave me), only on 29 Dec 14 they were able to confirm me that it was encashed. So wait for few more days.ABS_1382 said:NEED SUGGESTION:
Is there anyone who had the draft from Scotia Bank as I dont know why when I go to the bank they are not able to tell me whether the draft has been encashed or not...I am not sure how others are able to get that information and how the bank provides that information.....
I have the same issue with CIBC. Once I checked on Jan/4 @CIBC branch where I took the draft - said NOT cashed. Jan/8 @same CIBC branch -said cashed. Jan/12 @same branch asked for the date of cashing - said NOT cashed. Looks like their banking is stone age. My application reached CIC on Oct/9. Now they are asking to put a trace, which costs 16$. This is ridiculous. If you want to send a draft with the application, use TD - you can call 1-800 # to get the status and date too. Rest of the Canadian banks suck.ABS_1382 said:NEED SUGGESTION:

When you take a draft, there is no question of you having money in your account. It's actually drawn from your account at time of taking the draft. It's not like CC where you can see the transactionExcited said:Yes, i had taken a Bank Draft from Scotia Bank only. For an immediate response, if they say that the amount is no longer held in your Account, it is safe to say that CIC would have encashed
Y do you think that ur application will be not accepted and rejected ?MridulSharma said:I have the same issue with CIBC. On the same note, if my application that reached CIC on Oct/9 is rejected, shouldn't I getting the application back (to Toronto) by now ?
I don't see any reason to be rejected, but "what if" scenario. For any reason if it were to be rejected, I should see the returned application in my mailbox in Toronto by NOW, since I couldn't prove that my application is accepted by way of Bank Draft encashment.Raj2014 said:Y do you think that ur application will be not accepted and rejected ?
