Now, now, there are in-land people even BEFORE July 22nd waiting their turn. I hope EVERYONE from July get their PPR email soon.Seems like july 22 going to come soon this week or next
It may sound ironic but IRCC is moving really really fast. It is opening applications without completing already opened applications. So those that do not need a deeper look or more thorough processing gets eCoPR fast. Those who do, get initial processing and then are stuck for someone to work on it or for some other agency to respond. It gets IRCC maximum number of application processed but people feel that a lot of applications are getting unfair advantage over them. Now, now, there are in-land people even BEFORE July 22nd waiting their turn. That being said, perhaps @GandiBaat is right that those who didn’t get PPR despite earlier AORs are because their application turned out to be complex, regardless of their intentions…

Typical time to process an application has been around 4-5 months in the past (ie 2019 2018). Its only recently that we are seeing these completion in 2-3 months kind of trend. I think IRCC is going for low hanging fruits. My lawyer (who is a a former professor at UBC and has consulted IRCC a number of times) has an opinion that IRCC recently deployed some kind of software to sift through applications which are less complex. The applications pre-processed by the software make it through the process faster.“people feel that a lot of applications are getting unfair advantage over them.”
Gee, I wonder why…
I feel like I can deal with unfairness in processing if they are at least transparent about it… but the reality is we don’t know why some applications are taking longer and we may never know.
I won’t be surprised if IRCC are just opening applications without being ready to complete or close the file just to claim that they are super busy doing as lots of applications as a PR (Public Relations, in this context) stunt or as an excuse to simply refuse to elaborate on their ACTUAL processing.
Thank you for sharing such insight into matter. Mind if I ask how did you even get this info? First time ever hearing it for me…

Same situation here ,Aor 1st july ,medical passed 29th july , no update since then,My AOR 3rd july as well, medical passed and no update after that since august 4th. It is so stressing me as one of my friend submitted his file on 30th july and already got PR
Completely agree. We dont mind waiting as long as they are transparent about the process. Realtime updates on your profile would be great or atleast status update through the phone. Because right now, we are just assuming things and really dont know for sure what's going on or why it's on hold. Basically our lives are on hold until the decision has been made on application.“people feel that a lot of applications are getting unfair advantage over them.”

You lucky that they answered your questions about status update.I just spoke to IRCC about the status, and the agent said only security is pending. don't know how long will it take. Any ideas guys?
yeah, that agent was really kind and helpful, but I have been calling them since morning. luckily connected to a nice agent. agent said security is the last stage in the application. You lucky that they answered your questions about status update.
