Many prayers and tears went into this journey. I had previously withdrawn an application due to errors and didn't get an ITA for over three months with a score of 540. I'm finally done and could not be more relieved. Whenever I checked and saw that eligibility hadn't even started, I would panic. But strangely, eligibility went straight to completed for me, without ever being "in progress." So, if you're worried because your process isn't started, don't be. It could still be progressing behind the scenes. The people at IRCC can only tell you what's happening based on what you can see in the tracker and GC Key. Their updates are more hints than the absolute truth. Agents (and applicants) can only see information when trackers are updated. I remember a time when my background check seemed stuck, but when I called, they said criminality was done but security was not started. Security started behind the scenes, just not showing up on the tracker because my application was accepted shortly after. Basically, IRCC officers could be working on something without updating the tracker on our end.
