Don't worry about medical received not showing up on ecas. There is always a delay. You can email cic and ask if they have received your medical or not. Check with your doctor first to see if he or she has uploaded it.

Hello All,

I finally got my MR on Feb 12th, completed medicals on Feb 19th and received a letter from the medical office that it was submitted to CIC on February 26th.

I have a few questions i am hoping to get some help with if possible:
1) Will i get to view my medical results?
2) how long after sending the results will it show up on my application status a being received?
3) Currently i am living in Peru as a volunteer for a year. If they request my passport, how would i get it stamped? Is there some kind of service they offer to get it stamped at the office here in Lima?

Thank you in advance!

1. You should contact them requesting a copy of your results, got a copy from my medical center (minus x-ray)
2. Assuming all is well it may take 1.5 ~ 4 weeks.
3. Have you informed CIC of your current address in Peru? When you receive PPR request a change of visa stamping office for Peru and you will receive a followup email with Canadian Consulate Office that covers Peru.

Hi everyone,

I got my ready for visa email on Friday, Feb 26th.
So glad to have finally received this much awaited email.

Please guide if I should land at US Border (niagara) if I do not have a valid US visa?
Or would you recommend booking appointment with inland landing office?

Thanks, and best of luck to everyone else.

Congrats.....

Did you pay RPRF upfront? Did CIC request for any additional documents throughout the process?

Congrats! From all the comments we have seen so far, you do not need a US visa for landing in Canada. Just show up to the US border, tell them you are only here to go back to Canada for landing. They will give you a piece of paper which says entry refused to US. BUT THIS IS NOT A BAD THING. IT DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR FUTURE ENTRY TO THE USA. My friend has done it. The US border officers are very familiar with this process.

All the best!

this would only be bad if you applied for a US visa next time itll say previously entry refused.. but since you are getting your canadian passport soon that wont be an issue anymore.. as long as you don't plan on travelling to the states before you get your passport..

Yes, I had submitted my PCC with the application. And No, they did not ask for it again.

Thanks SEP14CEC, Did you ever travelled outside Canada after filing PR?
