Another optimist command from me: Given that processing times have been updated weekly and EE-CEC processing times increased to 15 months and Old-CEC times stayed same as 17 months (even though call center agents say they see 21 months internally), I think they start to give priority to Old-CEC files by putting the EE on hold :)

Guys lets not bother about how EE is going that is only going to put our hopes down! The 15 months processing time for EE is a bug on the site apparently and will be fixed tomorrow I guess.

Hi there, so now that I have finally received my MR, and scheduled for Tuesday ;D, can anyone direct me to a tracker or forum where timelines between completing the medical and receiving PR is discussed? Thanks everyone, wishing you all the best with your applications as well.

I am a Sept 29th applicant who has received MR for my spouse as her Medicals have expired. Got this email couple of days back. I am not sure if this is due to movement on my application or by the virtue of the Medical results she did on January 2015 which expired on JANUARY 2016

With this trend; should I be expecting to give my IELTS(expiring March 2016)and Police Clearance( Expiring May 2016)again . I don't know if I should be happy for this so called "progress" or just suck it up and pay for doing what i already did. Guess we don't have a lot of choice here now , do we ?

How it is bug?

It is either a bug or it was done to tone down the extremely high expectations of EE applicants. Apparently, EE applicants have bombarded CIC with CSE s requesting the status of their applications because now they can just say the processing time is 15 months so we cannot give you an update on your application.

Update : It was indeed a bug. Changed back to 6 months today. (23rd Jan, 2016)

Mahesh,
Is your wife in Canada with you??? If she hasn't left Canada since she did her medical in 2015... This comes as a surprise.. If she is In
Your home country and if you are getting her PR processed there... This is normal. They may request your PCC again but not the IELTS ( hopefully :)... )

Yeah she's here in Canada with me and they have asked her to go and give her Medicals again failing Which they will not process further

If medicals expire the VO can make a decision whether or not to request new ones. It is completely up to the VO. Some will extend the validity, others will request new ones. There may not be a reason for it at all other than he wants to be a **** and have you spend even more money on updated ones.
