I am new here and I am an Aug 1 applicant, app received in Oct 17 and in second review. No updates since then.


In the Aug thread can you guys let me know if anyone in second review got MR or anything else.

In the email I received CIC mentioned to send them a Scanned copy at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca. I believe if you have been requested by CIC via email as well then check the email if it asks you to send PCC by email , else send it by post. BTW They only asked for my PCC even though my wife is an applicant on the same file, My lawyer asked me to send scanned copies for both of us on that email.

This whole CEC application process has really raped my mind. CIC looks even more fuked up than the government agencies back home.


And what about the RPRF fee I paid today, is it upfront now, or should I ask for refund?

It would be considered as an upfront RPRF. You dont need to ask refund.

I am debating submitting medicals at this point of the process but thought that I needed an official requisition from CIC? Can I actually just complete my own medical and they will accept it assuming it was completed by one of their approved doctors?

Yes

But you need to ask Clinic if they are doing Medicals upfront for OLD CEC, not all clinics do that

You have to send a email with letter and copy of medical sheet provided by the clinic.

If they have your medical exam report on file (you would know when it shows up on ECAS or GCMS), and the VO is aware of it, it won't make sense to send an MR.
