CEC - August 2014 application

Hello everyone,

I called CIC agent to follow-up on my application received on August 12th 2014. He said the processing time for CEC before EE is 14 months from the date AOR is received. However, my application reached Ottawa centre in Jan 2015 and 14 months processing time will be considered from Jan 2015 in my case. He said usually, once AOR is received, the application is sent to Ottawa CPC. However, due to backlog of cases, the applications were sent to CPC-O quite after AOR was sent from Nova Scotia office which explains why many August applicants haven;t received MR or any further request. So in my case the agent said, I should receive decision latest by March 2016 (again based on workload at cic officers end).

I was told the same - that they are basing the 14 months from the date the file was transferred to Ottowa

I know its sad to hear such responses, but atleast you got a logical agent who explained the realistic timelines...Hope that the new govt takes some action and our cases are processed much faster...

except to believe these nonsense, what else can we do ?

comparing with take action, everyone prefer to believe it , based on the recently medial story comments.

its indeed a lot of time .... i think until the new immigration minister is appointed you cant address the email/letters to any other higher authority because you dont even know who these people are.... best is to wait till 4th nov and see who takes the charge.

The problem is even if the new person takes charge, we have to rely on luck where the new person has in his agenda that the CEC old applicants have been ignored for long and should be cleared as soon as possible.

if not then this thing will take much more time.
Unfortunately, I dont have much time :-( I have to get my passport request in next 2-3 weeks in the worst case or else I am screwed up :-(

Life is already hell because of this delay , moreover CIC is making sure that existence of each OLD CEC persons should end up in Morgue.

dont cry about the situation here guys, email these reporters who are working on our story, tell them about our situation, I sent them emails and got reply from both of them -

I think so too, ridiculous thing is , when the fake Aug start move, lots of laugh for the work that letter to MP, email to media. or any guess.

i am also same batch, my application received on 14 aug 2015, but no medical request yet .
I also called call center and she forward my inquiry to cec office , next day I got just standard reply from cec says I have to wait.
did you do something different ?

i m waiting for medical request my 14 months is over now.

No premal, I just got I suspect the same thing as you. Just told to wait is all. If you want I can copy and post te reply on here but yeah it's just basically to wait and keep communication with them to a minimum

Are you freaking serious? I would suggest people to stop it with the negativity. If you're gonna talk about morgues and hell and stuff, just keep it to yourself. Or go see a therapist to find a way to handle this situation better. We need to keep positive. We are here, in Canada, a beautiful safe place. Enjoy it. For those who are not, then think that you have a real shot at coming back to this great country.

OMG ... Am I understanding this correctly...
People now have to prove what stage their application has reached, by copying their email to the post?!....
Bloody ridiculous!
