Guys, don't get yourself confused. AOR is the only requirement to be eligible for the extension of BOWP.
I applied for mine (paper application) in first week of August and received it today.

Hopefully very soon everybody will get through this tough time.

It is same for all of us, My GCMS notes say the same. They have just started opening old CEC applications, once they start processing , things will work out as soon. Though it seems that they are doing Criminality since a year, its actually that they might have started and then were asked to focus on Express Entry .

Ive seen some of the June 2014 applicants getting finalized last week so, we are soon ahead in the queue.

What is the Eligiblity Status in ur GCMS(if applied and know) ?
did you receive medicals or RPRF?

hi , u have to apply less than 4 months before ur current expiry... hope this helps

it ask me to provide
1) letter of support of the province or territory. ( dont have)
2) Passport ( have)
3) Proof that you have the requirements of the job been offerd ( dont have)
4) Provincial nominee certificate (have)
5 ) offer of employment (do i need to give it)

Mine is a ainp app, do not have an lmia.
applied paper app to cic in sept, got a file no on dec 3 2015
is that enough to file for the BOWP. how is the fee, some times when i do the questions it says 155.00 and some times 255.00

realy need help got less than 4 months on my current wp and stressed out

Thats what i thought. The eligibility pass thing would be for those who applied for pr under express entry and want a bowp. It would be easier to find their eligibility progress as its all mostly online. Anyway. Congrats

do I have to re-issue those documents again?

Syrian refugees who landed will have permenant resident status right away. I am jealous of people coming straight to Canada on PR basis.

I know people will bullshit here with " dude you don't know how they were living in Syria" or "we welcome them this is their new home". Cut the crap no one knows how our parents are living back home. Anyways freaking waiting for more than 14 months since receiving of file and more than 1 year since receiving AOR. I received AOR on December 8. Keeping faith still or at a point of applying thru express entry.

Hi kezame,

I assume you already applied last year. If my assumption is correct, then my answer is no.


CIC requires that the documents be valid at the time of applying. If CIC requires new documents, they will send you an email requesting the documents that needs to be updated.

Dont be stressed. You have enough time on your plate. I applied 5 days before my PG OWP expired.
Also would suggest that you take help of an immigration consultant to apply, its worth the expense as I am now stress free than worrying about it because you will get great advice on the forum however each case is different and its always good to get an expert to ensure everything is done correctly at the first time.

About the Fees: If you are applying for an BOWP then there are two fees : 1. Work Permit Extension Fee: 155 CAD + Open Work Permit Fee: 100 CAD ( this extra fee of 100 CAD was added in Feb 2015 )

Applicants who have their work permit tied to an employer and is not an Open Work Permit need to pay only 155 CAD.
