CEC - August 2014 application

I got the Ready for Visa mail today morning (PPR).
I was expecting it a couple of weeks later, but surprised to see that mail come out on the family day.

Timeline:
Application Sent: 30th July 2014
App Received : 5th Aug 2014
AOR - 23rd Oct 2014
Med Request - 11th May 2015
Meds Done - 18th Aug 2015 (multiple tests)
RPRF - Upfront 19th Jan 2016
PPR - 15th Feb 2016.

Got my AOR on 23rd Oct, one of the grandest festivals in India. So despite the wait the progress is happening on special days making them even more special.

Good luck everyone who is waiting for progress. CIC definitely seems to have pickd up their act.

U did ur medical about 8 months ago and got ppr today so cic has not become any better lol

received the CIC's request for my wife's RCMP criminal record check today. so we just need to go to the local policy office and they will be able to submit her fingerprints with the record check to CIC, right? It is very weird my wife and I came to Canada together and we have never left Canada, but CIC only requested my wife's criminal record, not mine.

friend of mine had the same situation, don't stress - it is common.

hey guys,
just sent an application package to BLS int for PCC as requested by CIC..probably reach by thursday. Do any of u guys applied recently and got it? if so share ur processing time.. i know in their webpage they mentioned 4 to 6 weeks as a processing time.

i havent received my MR and am tired of this looooooonggggg process.. PCC certificate-MR-RPRF-VISA

Hi , I got an RCMP request today, I am the primary applicant, my wife is also on the same file but CIC requested RCMP only for me, anyone else had the same aituation, leme know soon. Should I be worried? As CIC asked for medicals for both of us but has requested PCC, SchedA and RCMP only for me and not for my wife.

On the contrary, CIC requested Sch A and RCMP check from my wife, but nothing for me as primary applicant.

But I'm still waiting MR...

Her NOC code is 2173 and this is her timeline:

August 8, 2014 App Received
October 31, 2014 AOR
June 6 2015, Medical Request
June 6, 2015, T4 and NOA request
July, 2015, Medical Received
November 23, 2015 Upfront RPRF
February 15, 2016 PPR Received

Is this ur first RCMP??? In my case CIC requested for me and not for my wife. I was told by many friends that's it depends on how common is ur name and if CIC finds too many people with same name and regional background. Nothing to worry if u clear police record in Canada.

I think those aug applicants who got medical request early last year are getting pprs. Once thats done then we might see the late aug applications making progress.
