Just applied for third copy of my GCMS notes, but I wonder why this time did not ask me to pay $5 Fee, which I paid last two times, I chose Privacy Act and location Canada.

the 17 month is a forecast for most of the applications, I have got my medical requested and the fee requested, I am waiting passport request.

even at this point they gave me a 4 moth window till end May, I think that's their plan to finish have all old CEC completed by then.

its a mater of time to process all applications. each application is unique and goes in different speed as each of us has different circumstances


Hi there teb. Can you provide your timeline? I really hope I don't have to wait until May!!! I am doing my medical tomorrow and paid my RPRF the day we got the accidental email.

if u r currently in canada, u can get it for free under privacy act.

but if u r requesting it on someone else's behalf (who is not in canada currently), you have to pay $5.

It would only show the status of principal applicant.....to map out for dependant, i would suggest apply GCMS after two months of sending documents for spouse addition.

hope thing move fast for every one but we have to be patient, they people have lots of backlogs and limited resources, at least they are working and that positive

you can do medical and pay the free early, that might save u 2 weeks, maybe 3 Max, but u wont get neither MR nor the RPRF request.

I decided to wait until it gets requested, the request indicated that there are looking into the files and I know that the previously steps are completed, save 3 weeks of 17 months period is nothing.

Hello Guys,

I have been requested to provide PCC for my spoue and myself within 60 days.

Does anyone know what are the current processing times to get PCC through BLS India?

Mine came in 2 weeks (it appears from other posts that passports created in Tatkal take longer to get PCC), Mine was non-tatkal.

you can include the extension request or get an approval from CGI.

Thanks Pearl1, I have already submitted an email to Consulate General of India (infosec@cgitoronto.ca) to advise on this. I will keep you posted as soon as I hear any update.

I got on 33rd day. So you can expect either today or tomorrow.

On that note, is it advisable to get PCC done even before CIC requests it - as all our PCC are expired. Or, CIC checks the PCC issuance date whether it is before OR after the CIC request and invalidate if it is dated before CIC request.

I am on a facebook page with a few other Irish people who applied under the old cec and a guy on it got his medical request yesterday for an application received august 27th 2014
