Guys, for everyone who's confused about the new immigration rules according to MI-10,
here's a list from CIC with the current quota and received applications per NOC.

This only affects skill level B applicants!!

Please be aware of the following:

The numbers presented are updated weekly. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time CIC receives it.

They mention some noc for example 1311 they don't except application for that in cec now???

Correct. 6 NOCs are, as of today, not eligible under the CEC class anymore.

Check CICs website or mine for a list:

I'm so confused....

I just found out that I applied for CEC under the old NOC code (Accounting bookkeeper 1231) which is now NOC 1311.... I applied in Jan 2013 and waiting for any progress, so far only rec'd AOR....... But does this change means my application would be rejected, because now I can't even apply under the same category and I wasted so much time!!!!

One thing I don't understand is, if this change got effective in 2011 (very surprised I didn't notice anywhere) why was I approved for LMO. I applied for LMO under the same old NOC 1231 in May 2012 and it got approved in Sept 2012. If old NOC was a problem, they should have spotted at the same time?

Any insights would be really helpful, as I'm so confused :(

Thanks a bunch !

Applications submitted before Nov-9th are not affected by the MI-10. And the NOC 2011 was not used until early in 2013.
So if you've submitted your application beginning of 2013, you should be good with using the old NOC 2006 system NOCs.

Correct. There's a 12,000 applications cap and a sub-cap of 200 applications per skill level B NOC.
Check out the MI-10 on my website:

Looks like even now, they wont accept the online payment for CEC class.

Correct. For the time being CIC does not accept online payments for CEC applications.

cap update every day or like every month or every three month???

Update will be weekly..

I'm applying under Noc code 2171 which is classified as Level A.

Does this mean that the Cap will not apply to me or just the sub cap?

Level A falls under 12,000 applications cap. You have to send your application before it reaches.
