CEC applicants who no longer live in Canada

Hi all those with ITA's...well done.

If you are applying for CEC but no longer live in Canada, do you need a police check from Canada?

I read somewhere that you need police checks from everywhere you have lived for 6 months or more EXCEPT Canada.

yes you need it if you have lived in Canada for more than 6 months.

If you read the police check requirement, you dont need a police check for canada - it is for all countries of residence lived in for 6 months except canada...

I lived there for 3 years and have not provided a canadian police check, just a uk one.

I haven't had an ITA yet and don't have a checklist. Hoping to get one in the next draw so getting prepared.

I'll go ahead and get a UK one. Even though I now live in NZ (2 months) and haven't stepped foot in the UK for 3 years. Love this system!
