Without wanting to get into it too much, Lmia is not a problem. The labor shortage here is major and at all levels.

Hi Lotus I agree with many of your sentiments - i had to file 29 different times i had left the UK in the last 10 years, along with 17 different addresses, its lucky i had email confirmation of flights, and i had all my previous addresses due to vetting in a former job. biggest gripes however...

No in essense - you need to get your PR card which is currently running at 12 weeks to obtain. You can apply for a temp one, but they ask for a 'genuine reason' before they issue it, which i gather is such things like funerals etc.

Hi, it took about 5 days after notifying Ottawa (inc weekend and public holiday) for me to get the response from London VO to send passport details to them, and then 12 days including weekends to get copr back from them. hth ed

Ghost mail - it is suspected that this gets triggered when they are looking at your profile - i had a few over my application, usually just before or after a change in status. hth Ed
