Hello everyone. I have a really close friend in Canada and I would like him to call the IRRC for me. Now I'm just wondering what information should I provide my friend with? is it enough with just email, UCI and contact number? What can I tell him to ask exactly when he speaks to the agent?

Received 2 ghost updates since morning.
IRCC representative said everything looks good and I should be hearing back from the department in the upcoming weeks. Very excited.

UPDATE: APPLICATION APPROVED IN PORTAL TODAY (Approval date shows as April 13, 2021). Background Check completed April 1, 2021.

I got the updates on Thursday morning (8th april 2021). My approval is April 13, 2021. (5-6 days) but it could be different for every case.

Got my 2nd GU as well. 2 in one day.

Hello guys, I have a basic question. What does Ghost Update mean? How do I check for a GU? I called up IRCC agent and got hold of the agent after a long wait and the agent did not tell me anything different from what I see when I login. How do you guys manage to get a detailed update? My conversation with agent went like this:
Agent: Good morning, this is IRCC how may I help you?
Me: Hi, I've applied for a PR and it has been more than 6 months, I would like to know a detailed status of my application.
Agent: What do you mean by detailed status?
Me: I mean, whether my background check is done, where my file is...
Agent: (After confirmation of details), Your file is in order, background check is still in progress, no need to worry. I cannot give you a estimate date. Thank you for calling

So the agent didn't inform your what vo is yours and the status of the application.normally they do say not started or in progress or review required or passed.
