You can have multiple PR applications at the same time, however, only in different classes.
Like one CEC application and a PNP application. You can't have to CEC application.s

Also, whenever the first application gets approved, you will have to withdraw the second application.

NOTE: Multiple applications also mean multiple applicant fees...

If you’ve already applied for CEC, does it have any benefit to apply for the new policy as well?
I can only think of processing times, but if your application for CEC is already ongoing we’d be talking about paying application fees twice for 5 months processing vs 6
@OceanBacon I understand what you are trying to say. It's just you are you are trying both streams whichever is done faster. I know a lot of CEC applicants that their file is in some offices sitting and waiting for COPR for almost a year. You can apply under this stream and if you get COPR from any of the application then you can withdraw remaining application. We don't know processing time for this new stream but it should be much more lower as they don't need to verify NOCs and all. I know you also got awesome CRS score so you can apply under this stream and keep your express entry profile active, once you get ITA you can apply there as well. Of course you will have to fees twice but I think it's worth it. I respect everyone's opinion and all has different preferences.

Can someone clarify the new policy for international graduates? Do they still need to be employed in any one of the nocs listed on that page or any profession would do?

I am still confused about the work part eligibility criteria about this path.
Is one year work experience required?
Is work in any field eligible?
what if its a skilled trade in an essential business but still not on the noc list they have provided?

If I am not wrong then if you are applying under international graduate stream then you don't need 1 year of work experience. You just need to be employed and of course studied from designated learning institute in Canada.

So work noc doesnt matter at all?

I understand the other documents but just concerned about the work noc as the website doesn't specify much except for the noc list

@Anaysa

Please see the email below

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

If you are applying to immigrate to Canada, there are many immigration categories available to you. Please note that theImmigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) does not prohibit multiple applications*.

If an applicant has more than one application for permanent residence (APR) approved, the responsible office will advise them to choose the category/class under which they would like to be granted permanent resident status.

Once permanent resident status is granted, any other pending APR should be withdrawn and the applicant notified.

*For example, you may apply simultaneously for two different streams in the economic class (e.g., Federal Skilled Worker Class and Provincial Nominee Class).

Furthermore, we verified the information on your file. We can confirm that you have created a new Express Entry (EE) profile and have been accepted to the EE pool of candidates.

Its strange that you got a response to the webform, I have been waiting for over a week and have not heard back anything so far. other threads suggested that they take around a month to get back to you.
