or eligibility is under review and IRCC agent doesn't know about it, many times IRCC agent can see updated status only when its done(correct me if I am wrong)

@scenestrange I agree with you on this. But one fact is that IRCC agent should be able to see Eligibility as 'Recommended Passed'/'Review Required' etc after Program Analyst's review (first round of Eligibility check). This is not my personal experience but rather from reading posts of other applicants who contacted IRCC agents and got Eligibility status after Analyst's review.
So, I feel that in @shwasti1995 case the Eligibility has not been evaluated by even Analyst yet and hence the status 'Not Started'. This is just my opinion.

Seems to be logical ...that is the final decision, albeit Security can start when a first officer review eligibility and give 'recommended pass'

Security will only start once your eligibility is conclusively passed by an officer.

the only way to get accurate status is calling IRCC, raising a webform, and if you’re patient enough - GCMS notes.

This question about Eligibility and BGC status arose from different threads for CEC applicants.
I personally know one CEC applicant for whom
Eligibility status at AOR : "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility"
Eligibility status after a GU (GU was later than the one people are getting at MEP and BIO promotion): "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements."

This change clearly shows the progression in the app status. But in our case (@nirajparihar ,@jagann ), the status has been "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." since AOR which can't be true.

I am just trying to understand this disparity among recent CEC applicants.

makes sense since the next step after MEP and BIO is the eligibility review. TBH, I didn’t pay much attention to my eligibility and background sections as it’s pretty much standard wording. And if you check this forum, people have been trying to make sense of the different wordings FOR YEARS and no one really came up with a definite answer.

1. Did you receive any GU till now (except the one when medical passed and BIO got updated in the portal)?
I want to understand if you got a ghost update once your Eligibility Passed.

2. Did your Eligibility get updated from "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility" ----to-----> "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements."?
OR has it always been "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." since AOR?

I haven't received any GU since my medical passed. That's the reason I was surprised when the agent told me that eligilibilty is passed. My status for all stages is the same since AOR.
