Thanks Tiffany. I'm just worried that we won't get the ITA soon and all the LMIA applicants will get priority after that. I have a shot of sending a CEC by Dec 31st, but I'm confused as to whether I should do that or to wait for EE. I'm just exhausted of this whole thing to be honest.
Not many people get LMIA each year. In the past three years only around 1200 LMIA is given each year. CIC is hoping that this express entry system will encourage employers to apply for LMIA and attract potential workers. However, it is not easy for employers to prove that they have already tried their best to recruit Canadian workers and still cannot find a suitable one, so that they need foreign workers. It is anticipated that most accepted applicants are under FSW or FTW programs.

Maybe you should check your facts. ESDC issued over 202K LMOs/LMIA in 2012 http://www.esdc.gc.ca/eng/jobs/foreign_workers/lmo_statistics/annual-lmo-prov.shtml

I think 1200 positive LMIAs comes from CIC's teleconference last week.

The number of 1200 LMIAs comes from the teleconference. The fact is: not every LMIAs are permanent, full-time and non-seasonal. Not every LMIAs are eligible for the purpose of immigration.

I received my PGWP on Nov 27 2013, so I just recently (couple of weeks ago) MET the 1 year requirement to apply under CEC.
However, apparently now there's a new crisis (as there always is!):

I finished my requirements to graduate on July 2013 (Letter from School)
Applied for PGWP and received PGWP on Nov 27 2013
I did not convocate until November 2014 (because I'm a dumbass and got caught up with work and life)
Been working under qualified NOC 0122 since July 2013 (OCWP expired Nov 2013 AFTER I received PGWP on Nov 27 2013)

Does that mean that I can apply under CEC now since I've had my work experience and my PGWP since Nov 2013?
Some here think that work experience must be after CONVOCATION, while others think it must be after PGWP.
I'm so freaking confused guys!! Been in Alberta since 2008, just wanna get this damn thing over with!

Cheers,
CEC&Confused
CEC work experience must be after the date of your graduation(the date mentioned on your degree certificate) AND also after the date you get PGWP(whatever may be the LATEST DATE they will consider that date to count your 1 year experience for CEC)

Sorry, but there's nothing special about you or your job. I could take your job, advertise it, and get at least one hundred Canadians applying for it. You got your job without having to prove it will not displace any Canadians. I don't see why you should get PR with that job. Your employer must prove that no Canadians were available for it. Sorry but no PR for you unless LMIA, and just in case you start your rant about how you "deserve" PR keep in mind that you're a foreign national in status and, as such, you have no standing to demand anything. Period.

What kind of deluded person calls a country home when they don't have permanent residence in it? The kind of deluded person who thinks he DESERVES PR in that country. Yea, sure, next time don't be shy buddy, just ask for a side of ice cream with your PR status because, after all, you "deserve" it.

There's only one outcome for douchebags of your ilk. They'll be going where they came from.
Yes. No LMIA means no PR. That seems correct.

The procerdures are not the same. I've called and confirmed with CIC.
Dear Praneet87
Ya you are partially right about procedures but basic concept of LMIA is same as LMO..just employer have to give more empathize to recruit local candidates ..and every year few percentage of TFW need to reduced..so I am totally agree with Our senior member PMM about LMO number..1200 LMIA was issued after change of procedure of LMO to LMIA . Please while calculating number do not it forget LMO + LMIA + PNP...these number gonna be very high.
