Hi folks, can anyone advise on this, I have been requested to send passports scans, knowing that I never left Canada since the day I landed in. The only time I planned to travel during my eligibility period was unsuccessful, as I was denied boarding the flight at the check-in area for missing a document (COVID things). Do you think my booking still showed up when IRCC pulled my CBSA records and that what lead them to ask for passports scans??

are you an immigration expert?
The person that responded to you is right. Just provide what you were asked for. At least the request shows that someone is working on your file. I also got the passport request and I did as told and I have taken my oath. You can see my signature for details.

Before the pandemic, they used to do an interview for all applicants after the test and they had to look at all documents used to apply. They are now doing more interviews and passport requests for some. If you have no travels then your physical presence calculator is right then just do as told.

Sometimes the right answer is the obvious one.

Yeah I did send mine on March 1st, only language turned green, presence and prohibitions still in progress, which raised my question if I have to clarify that to them, I mean being denied to board flight

No need to clarify anything. You are overthinking, just relax and let the process play out. If they have any concerns they would contact you. IRCC works randomly so some stages might be slow some might be fast. Just chill a bit

Folks my question was simple, and please if someone knows let me know. I will try to dumb it:
does CBSA keep a record for any booking even if the flight was canceled or ticket was bumped?

I know I am overthinking, and that is normal when dealing with IRCC and their way of processing things.

Thanks for the previous repliers! but still my question wasn't answered

IRCC reserves the right to request any additional documents during the processing of the application. The passport pages request is mainly to verify your physical presence matches what you filled in your application. This is a normal request as all paper applicants have to send copies of their passport pages in their application packages. Just make sure that you have translated all entry / exit stamps that are not in English or French.

You had no travels and you applied with a 2-month buffer. You have been told that IRCC normally requests passport copies. Even if CBSA keeps a record that you went to the airport and you got sent back, you still never left Canada so what's your worry? Please you are being unnecessarily paranoid and it's not a good look. This is my last reply to this thread. All others have told you the same thing. Just relax and let the process play out.

You can request the records yourself. Just that it takes times - https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/agency-agence/reports-rapports/pia-efvp/atip-aiprp/req-dem-info-eng.html
