Sorry to hijack your thread (I'm sure someone will be able to advise on the correct procedure for applying for them) but this has been playing on my mind for a while.
Is it possible that maybe people might be a little over eager in applying for case notes and that it might actually be counter-productive?
It seems like some folk apply for notes constantly (some on a monthly basis) and really discover very little from them. Plus CIC have a note on their website saying they're experiencing particularly high demand for notes at the moment and are struggling to keep up.
I'd be slightly worried that CIC are having to divert resources away from actually processing applications to dealing with these notes requests, which I think they have a legal requirement to respond to within a particular timescale.
I could be way off the mark but it's just something I thought was worth suggesting, and as I say isn't specifically aimed at you at all but more the general "culture" of constantly ordering notes if that makes sense
