I used exactly the same link and I sent on Feb 28th. Just a week back, I got a response saying that my request is forwarded to responsible officer. Still waiting for final reply.

It's been about 60 days, I got no reply from CIC. :'(

I never received a response to my CSE. However, from my GCMS notes I knew my VO is Ottawa so I emailed them to inquire about the document I'd sent. They replied within a day saying that my document had been attached to my application. So at least that's a relief.

But no, never got any response to my CSE.

@yashwanth.258

i was in the same boat,

but i suggest you fill out the following forms and attach it in CSE and send it again.

do you know what is your VO?
if for example your VO is new delhi ..raise a CSE for NDVO check the link below to rasie CSE for specific VO

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/new-delhi.asp.

when i spoke to CIC they sent me this email:

Sir, Madam,

Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request:

After applying for permanent residence under the Economic class - Adding a family member

A family member* of the principal applicant could be added at a later date, even if they were listed as non-accompanying dependant in the initial application. However, there is no guarantee that your request to add a family member to an application will be accepted if the final decision has already been made by the office processing the application.

To add a family member to the application, you have to download, fill out, validate and print the following forms** from our website and send them to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia:

A new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) with supporting documents,

(If applicable) A Schedule A - Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form,

(If applicable) An Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) form,

(If applicable) A signed Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) form,

A copy of the family member’s valid passport,

Police certificates for all countries where the family member over the age of 18 has lived for more than 6 months since turning 18,

and

The add-on request including:
your name,
your client ID number/UCI,
your file number,
a letter of explanation,
a copy of the birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship, and
if applicable, the proof of payment.
You must write ADD-ON on the forms and on the envelope. If you want proof that your application was received, we suggest that you use registered mail with Canada Post or a courier service such as Purolator, UPS, FedEx, etc.

how ever the email asked me to send forms to CIO sydney. but my file was being processed in abu dhabi so i sent mine to abu dhabi.

and it was received.

hope this helps.

+1 if it did.

cheeers

It can take 10-20 working days before you hear back. For reference, I heard back after 11 working days (well into three weeks) when I sent a document to be attached to my file. The only response I got was 'the document has been forwarded to the relevant officer.'
So... yeah.

Hi,
What is the steps to send CSE? Is there any form to fill or any thing to attach. Thank you.

@futurecanadiannew123456, have you included spouse name in your passport and her passport after marriage ?

yes i got a new passport for my wife which has my name on it. it took only 3 days in india.

congrats on your PPR, but i would suggest raise a CSE now and fill all the forms and send it it might take a month at the max but its better , because after you land it can take upto a year to sponsor your wife.

hope that helps

@futurecanadiannew123456, how about your passport... did you include spouse name ?

no i didnt include my spouse name in my passport i dont think that is necessary.

only my wife has my name on her pasport.

but my passport is the same.it doesnt have my wifes name on it and i dont think that is necessary

Seems like they think I am stupid or they do not realize that they are dumb. I send CSE on 15/03/16 and got auto reply with " question blah blah " been waiting for proper reply just got it today and says " question do not reply " and telling me I can use Mycic to check my status of application.
Retards do not understand I contacted you cause there is nothing I found informatiknal enough after waiting 6 and half month.
I don't know what they doing with applications. Pardon me for my language I don't think it's abusive but can't tell someone might find it.

Hi, don't know if this helps anyone else. Today I called CIC and asked as to whether my CSE (sent over 30 days ago) regarding a change of address had been updated. The phone rep told me she could not access my file. She also said that as it was just an address change I will not receive a reply, and my address update will be recorded in my file.

I did not ask if they do not reply to the applicant for 'Address changes only' or every single CSE issue.

Hope this helps some forum members at least.

Either way, it makes me question what the role of the call centre staff is. Seems like they cannot tell you anything.
