Hi guys,

I submitted a case specific enquiry to CIC on Feb 14 but I still haven't heard anything.
It was about my BOWP - I didn't attach PNP certificate nor AOR so I submitted those through case specific enquiry.
Do you know how long should I wait?

Thanks guys..

Generally, they reply within week and sometime few weeks, based on the query and some time, they don't respond. Try calling CIC 1-888-242-2100.

You can ask BOWP question here too.

+1 if this information helps.

Another option is going to your local MP s office. My friend sent a case specific inquiry about his application which exceeded the ormal time. After a month,I accompanied him to the office of his local MP who is also a powerful minister in the government. He was informed of the status by the MP s assistant after 3 days. This is another option you may consider Good Luck

Thanks bskap. I actually just got the response from CIC yesterday... they took 35 or so days to receive my enquiry... what a joke.
If I have to use CSE in the future, I will certainly try the method you suggested.

Hello popocharm,

1. Did it take 35 days or 35 working days?

2. Did you upload any documents as part of the Case Specific Enquiry?

3. What kind of response did you get from them?

Hi myson,

Here are my replies:

1. I submitted CSE on Feb 14 so it took 33 calendar days. 35 was just my approximation.
2. Yes, I uploaded PNP certificate and AOR in one single pdf file.
3. Below is the email I got from CIC yesterday:

Dear client,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We are pleased to confirm the reception of your document. We have forwarded it to the responsible office for their consideration.

If further information is needed during the processing of your application, the responsible office may contact you.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

· Download application forms and guides

· Change of address

· Check your application status

Please do not reply to this email.

Then I checked my cic account if they uploaded the document I submitted, but they haven't yet.
I will keep checking though..
Hope this helps

Hi, did you receive CSE confirmation yet and if yes - can you share how many days it took them to respond?

Yes, initially there was an automated reply. Exactly on 40th day, I received this response.
