Im applying under NOC 1111 as well. I'm worried about how it is catching up with 1112. I'm in the advance stage of my documentation. WES is expected to arrive on Sept 1 and most likely will lodge my application in less than 2 weeks.
I understand no one knows the real picture of CAP per NOC in the present. However, in your approximation, how safe will be my application to be included in the CAP?

Daniel,

with NOC1111, it doesn't seem a problem as of now.... as you are already saying you are at advance stage of documentation and ready to dispatch in next 2 weeks, it seems OK... to be in time - atleast for this category.

However, my suggestion is to send it across ASAP.....

All the best buddy..!!!!

I'm planning to submit my application in mid November for NOC 1111 or 0111, hasn't decided yet.
What do you think my chances are? Rt now noc 1111 is 56 on cic website and 92 on global spreadsheet.
Pls help.
appreciate your reply

Nearly 100% go right ahead.

In all probability, Computer programmers and interactive media developers (2174) is now filled. My advice is not to apply this year. It would be wastage of time, money and energy to apply at this stage.

For Software engineers and designers (2173) and Financial and investment analysts (1112) apply in the next one week or forget about reaching the cap on time. Better not apply under these NOCs this year unless your documents are complete and fully ready for dispatch.

Information systems analysts and consultants (2171) and Mechanical engineers (2132) will probably be filled up in two weeks time. You should ideally be at the advance stages of your documentation readiness stage. If you still have things like passports, birth certificates, bank statements, ECA and IELTS left, better not apply this year. You probably will miss the cap.

This is not misinformation. Please take it seriously.

It's not misinformation, but aside from 1112 and 2174 we don't have enough information to say the others are or will be capped soon.

Thank you for this vital information on the likely capped NOCs.
You are one of the forumites that have been of immense help
to others.

I missed out under NOC 2134 in FSW 2013 for lack of vital information
on capping because I was focusing on CIC updates on applications received
and my guess was wrong.

That is why I don't want people to waste their precious time and resources
running after hot NOCs like 1112,2173 and 2173 when there IELTS and ECA
are not ready by now.

They should rather prepare their applications against EXPRESS ENTRY coming
up January,2015

With information, you will have direction. With direction, you will get to your
destination with ease.

Thank you for this great and vital information.

I am planing to send my application on first week of October under 2173 because I am waiting for ECA.
What are the chances to catch the CAP. Please suggest whether to apply or not in October.

My personal advise is that you should wait for Express Entry Jan.2015
because your chances of being within the cap is extremely low going by
the time you wish to submit please.
In conclusion,do not apply.
Best of Luck

Thanks for the reply.
in that case I am thinking to apply under 2171, I will get the duties from my employer.

What are the differences 2171 and 73 and 74 after getting the visa.
Do we need to apply for the jobs under same category or We are open to apply for any other jobs, Please advise

Hi,

Just want to ask, how about NOC 2131. Is it still safe if i submit my application on 1st week of October? just estimate and base from previous years capping. Any idea?

Thanks

Your NOC Category has no bearing over what jobs you can apply for after you Land in Canada with a valid PR.

You will get the results of ECA within 2 weeks after the status has been changed to "Evaluation in progress". I think you may still be able to apply within this month and hopefully within the cap.

No it is not essential to apply jobs in the same NOC .. 2171/2/3/4 all belong to Software development/testing job roles..
