Hi everyone,
Could someone please help me.

I have applied for spousal sponsorship (common-law) by mail in Canada, I have just recieved an email in order to link my application, I already have an account that I've created for my visitor visa, I tried to link my app on this account and it didn't work, so I created a new one and I tried again and no success, I'm sure of the information I'm putting.

Did this happen to anyone else ? anyone got a solution for me please ?

Thank you

Most common solution right now is to leave your city and country of birth blank, and do enter in your passport info.
Also make sure you're entering the right number of people included on the app (should be 2 if you don't have any dependents)

Hi,

Even though Mattaleen has already a solution I want to share my experience.

I also had problems linking my application. It worked after I selected "single" as my relationship status, even though I am applying for spousal sponsorship...

In retrospect I found out that there was still some old information, from my first visa application (working holiday), about me in the system. Later on I also found out that my address has not been changed to the one I provided in the spousal sponsorship forms.

In case you have trouble linking your application and you have applied for another visa before, try the details from back then and it might work.

Cheers

After over a month of trying and giving up for days, I was finally able to link this account!

I tried all combos but I don't think I ever tried single with only passport details.

SO not including birth place and country and putting SINGLE seemed to be the magic combo for us!
