Cannot Validate Schedule A (IMM 5669) due to "Most recent date"

Hello!

My husband is attempting to fill out the Schedule A, but it won't let him validate it in the Personal History section for the reason: "enter the most recent information first" and highlighted the most recent year "2017."

We've triple and quadruple checked everything. There are no gaps, and the information is placed correctly.
We are currently using the 02-2018 ver. of the Schedule A.
The start date is 2017-10 and is ongoing (This is the part that "2017" was highlighted).

We already tried using an older version (2017 ver.), deleting and restarting the form (twice), and deleting and restarting the older form too. Every attempt comes up with the same error message. Please help!

Thanks!

Hi

Try unchecking "ongoing" and putting today's date.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately, it's not working either :(
It's still the From 2017-10 that is being highlighted.

EDIT: Update!
I tried changing the FROM date to 2016-10 or 2017-06, and those work, but they would be inaccurate. Anything later than 2017-06 doesn't work.
Also, other dates for the To portion does not help the validating either.

Okay I’m not sure if you’re encountering the same problem I had so I’m gonna give my input and you can see if that helps
So we are suppose to write our personal history from most recent but the date will be in the order you just stated above
Previous date-Later date
For example if I was a student from 2010-2015 then I started working from 2015-2018 I’m going to write it as follows

2015-2018 - Employed
2010-2015- Student

Hope I’m clear..

Thanks Layla for bring the dates up. Please see the following and see if you guys can help us spot the error! :(

The dates are written as:
2017-10 to ongoing Employed (2017 highlighted as the "error")
2015-07 to 2017-05 Employed
2015-06 to ongoing Employed
2015-02 to 2015-06 Unemployed

I tried swapping the order of 2015-07 with 2015-06 but that's not working either...

Take out the overlapping entries, "2017-10 to ongoing" and "2015-07 to 2017-05",

There won't be gaps. Try it and see if it works. You can add the other employment info on an additional sheet.
Thanks so much, it worked!

Just a few more questions..
How would I provide that extra sheet? Is there an official form somewhere?
The "2017-10 to ongoing" is is main/intended job if he gets accepted for PR. Should I put that one on the form instead?

I would leave it how it is. No official form, just type it up in Word. Put the form name and all of his details on it.

One LAST thing,
Does he need to sign it by hand as well or is the typed "signature" enough? It does state above the box "I agree that by typing my name, I am electronically signing my application."

If it states that, then the electronic signature should be fine.

Are you submitting IMM 5669 online or part of your initial spousal PR application? If it's the latter, you'll need to print out the form and sign using pen, otherwise your entire application will get returned:

"For this form to be accepted as part of a paper application, each person required to complete it must a) type their name in the signature box and the bottom, b) validate the form, c) print out the validated form, and d) sign in writing (i.e provide a handwritten signature) next to the typewritten name in the signature box."
If you're submitting this form online, then you should be fine just typing your name :)
