CIC started processing my application on Jan 23rd 2009.
today it shows "DECISION MADE".
wondering - it means rejected ?
coz, i didnt gave any medicals or IELTS or proof of funds.

Pls suggest me !

You mean by that date when Sydney create a file for you?
In which visa office you have applied ?

Please try to explain little more so members here can help you appropriate..

If you applied to Sydney, then as general its not mean of refusal, they may evaluted your application and if you was done in 67 points, they "decision made " mean they passed evalution and will be forwarded to your local visa office for further process.

Its my understanding, let see what other says this regard.

am on H1B in USA.
I think Buffalo,NY is processing my application.
I applied on Aug1st 2008 thru canada based agency.
CIC issued File # on Jan 23rd 2009
am not sure it is under new process system.

I received file number from the Consulate General of Canada,Buffalo, pertaining to Application for Permanent Residence in Canada under the Independent category.

is Independent category - comes under skilled work ?

I am not able to check the status of my pr application using the website. I filed thru buffalo as well. Can you help how u used it? I filed in 2006. No signs of any reply.

Hello Chicagocanadian1,

go to www.cic.gc.ca
right side you will find " check application status online "
and follow the steps.
it will ask your file # to put in.

First of all - Thanks very much for your reply. I tried easily 50 times so far. It does not show me the current status of my file. I have already paid the rprf and medicals are done. I tried under identification type as file number, client id number and receipt number. Nothing works. I got my file number when i filed in 2007. It still stays the same. Can you explain why this is happenning.

Dear ChicagoCanadian1,

Pls fill as follows for geting your online status:
-Identification Type (Your File No.)
-Surname/Family Name (Just ur surname, as in your passport)
Other things are easy,,just fill as they are in ur passport

Hi Chicago,

Please follow exactly as instructed by Santosh. One more thing I would like to add is.

While specifying file number ...probably it would be like < X 111 2222 3> .

Specify this whole number without any space as X11122223.

and rest of the information as it is asked.
